Artist Biography
Doug Shafer is a Portland artist and musician specializing in one of a kind illuminated manuscripts. His books have been purchased by a number of prestigious collections including the National Gallery in Washington DC, Harvard University’s Houghton Library, and locally by the rare book room of the Multnomah County Library in Portland. His work is represented locally by Butters Gallery. As musician Doug plays at a number of local venues with 2 of Portland’s finest world music bands, Krebsic Orkestar and Negara.
