Artist Statement
The romantic pull of the American West began for me in 1959, the time of wing-tipped Chevrolets and annual vacations from humid Illinois to the high, dry mountains of Colorado. I credit my mother and father with introducing me to the view over the next hill. Fifty years later, I still can’t turn that view down.
