Artist Statement

The content of my artwork has always been very personal. images created inevitably reflect my experiences and act as my visual diary. I dedicated these images to the concept of “letting go” — leaving one chapter and entering another without contaminating the future with the past.

This of work is titled “searching for silence.”  These triptiychs are made using the same technique — applying liquid silver gelatin emulsion to stone tile. I have been fascinated with the idea of combining images and stone for a while. When I photographed the Japanese Garden I knew my search for the right images was over.
