Artist Statement

Stories — The images in this series deal primarily with questions pertaining to memory, motherhood and immortality. I use the images to retell tales of myth and moral resolve, most of them based on characters from classical Greek and English literature. The subjects are photographed on medium format film while partially or completely submerged in water. The resulting images are then printed on silver gelatin paper in a home made, lithe-based developing solution and processed for archival stability.
