The Fine Art of Deception: This work is intended to be a reflection on the endless nature of greed and betrayal. The elements included in this exploration of deception are hands reaching, shredded money, clocks and a globe to convey the notion that this is a universal and eternal condition. The temptations are just too great or as Oscar Wild said …..”Virtue is insufficient temptation.”

Artist Biography

Barbara Barnes Allen is a graduate of the Ringing School of Art, Sarasota, Florida. She lives and maintains studios in Seattle, Washington and Whistler, British Columbia. Duing the 2007-2008 exhibition year, she has and will be involved in some 20-25 shows across the U.S. and in Europe.
