Artist Statement

The drum leaf method was used in creating Replaced. It’s composed of eight pages, most of which are rice paper. The fold out was tea dyed and drawn with pen & india ink. Each rice paper signature was sewn with silk thread, both by hand and machine. “Lotta Love” was included for a variety of reasons.

Artist Biography

M.A.C. earned an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising from Fresno City College. She currently attends Portland State University, and after a visit to New York, changed her major from Spanish to Art History.
