This book is a light-hearted reflection on secrets kept, more so in the past, about “unspeakable lifestyles.” The images used were collected from old pulp fiction novels and girlie magazines that were popular in the 1940’s and 1950’s. References to drugs that were widely villianized during those same periods of time are also included in the work. The pen and ink embellishments are there to invoke an emotional response. This book, to me, is a celebration of the acceptance achieved in our local community.
