Artist Statement

Most of my “books” are artworks that incorporate a book or books. The books are included inside of a sculptural format which is most often an architectural form. Most of the forms are constructed out of clear plexiglass. The various components of these forms are a reflection of the contents of the book. “A different sort of garden” is a piece designed to be a sort of fantasy conservatory. It means to convey moments and thoughts that interupt the ordinary with the sensual.
