Girls, as is all of my work, is autobiographical with a Feminist sensibility. In Girls I focus on my Mother and Grandmother my daughter Nina and myself as well as real or unreal women. Girls is about the life pleasure of watching women. Girls is about loving women.
Artist Biography
I was a founding member of the Pasadena Women’s Political Caucus and a member of Double X , a Feminist Women Artist Collective in Los Angeles. Since 1970 I’ve worked as an Artist and Photographer. Including self-publishing one-of-a-kind books and editions of Thirteen Stories, Family Business and Girls. I am a Black&White still photographer and have extensively documented artworld friends and family. My portfolio covers a span of more than thirty five years. More recently I have begun to record the landscape of the Negev desert in Israel.
