Artist Statement

The liaison between sensual experience and nature is difficult to represent with language. I chose the writing, visual texture, and handmade paper to evidence the tenuous and fragile eloquence of sublimated desire. The beauty of longing is brutal.

Lisa Beth Robinson teaches Book Arts and Foundations courses at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She is no stranger to a sensual life.
