Portfolio Submissions
23 Sandy Gallery is currently reviewing portfolios for future solo shows. We consider all media, but at this time have a preference for contemporary photography, photo-based mixed media, or other forms of graphic arts by local and regional, emerging and experienced artists. Sadly, our schedule for artist books is full for the next year. Here’s how to have your work considered for a solo exhibition:
  • Send Laura an email with a link to a web gallery containing a show-ready (or in progress) body of work.
  • Or, contact Laura to set up an appointment for an in-person portfolio viewing.
  • Or, drop a CD in the mail containing JPGs of the images you propose to exhibit. Mail the CD and a proposal to 623 NE 23rd Avenue, Portland, OR 97232. CDs will not be returned unless you enclose a SASE.
  • Please do not email images to Laura as attachments to your email.

Rent the Gallery for Workshops, Meetings or Lectures

23 Sandy Gallery is now available for workshops, lectures or meetings. Rental fees are $25 for an evening event (up to 4 hours) or $50 for a full day (up to 8 hours) and could include a listing on gallery web site and on the gallery’s monthly email newsletter. The main gallery area can accommodate up to 25 people in a lecture set up with chairs only; or, 12 people fit comfortably with tables and chairs. Chairs and tables are provided and our kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and water cooler comes in handy for full-day events. Digital projector and screen also are available to rent for an additional fee. (Please note: the gallery is not available on Thursday evenings.) Contact Laura for more information.
