Photo Book Works

Judith Hoffman
San Mateo, CA

Oneiro

This book was inspired by a dream I had while waking one morning. I saw a book whose front cover was a camera. Inside the book were photos of dreams taken by that camera. I often record my dreams when I wake up, but I go through periods of not being able to remember them, so the idea of a camera that could record them for me was very appealing. I made the camera as a pinhole camera because the photos out of pinhole cameras look so dreamlike.
