Save Burma

I traveled to Burma (Myanmar) in 2008 to see its Buddhist sites and meet the Burmese people. I was moved by the quiet dignity of a people who are abused and disenfranchised by a ruthless government. A man approached me at the night market, taking great risk, to tell me of their oppression. The photographs in this book are mine, depicting four groups: monks, men, women and children who suffer in different ways in Burma.

Giclee print on Moab Somerset paper, board with Nepalese paper. Some hand watercoloring. All photos and images are by Paula Jull; text is from burma campaign.org. and artist. 7 x 5.25 x 1 inches. 2010. Edition of 3.
