The River

We were intent on capturing city life through the flow of people and the river around which they live rather than through monuments and buildings. Shot in Paris in black and white, evening, we reach back to Brassai’s work Paris by Night.

Artist Biography

Monica Oppen’s work practice in the book arts encompasses writing, printmaking, photography and bookbinding. She believes that the book is the most complex, challenging and rewarding artistic space to struggle with. Peter is a photographer/ photomonteur, filmmaker, writer and book artist. He has exhibited widely in both solo and group shows. His work explores the political and personal.
