Where's My Baby?
I have always enjoyed painting and making collages with birds as subject matter. I have been watching the birds from our woods tending and feeding their babies each morning during these summer months. My stepson John and his wife Joy are having a baby so babies were on my mind. This piece reminds me of much-loved baby-activity books.
What is more worrisome than losing your child for a moment? And it is startling to lose your baby under a leaf, beneath a butterfly or behind a branch and then to watch your baby fly off for the first time.
