Risk vs. Reward
This book tells the story of the hummingbird, risking the attack of the hawk to seek a flower’s nectar. The book is comprised of five sections each with three layers (two pop-up layers and a flat layer) The flat layer is repeated letterpress text, the second layer is a woodcut print of the key images layered into an abstract design and cut out, and the third layer is the key characters of the story in cut out tent-style pop ups. The book opens 360 degrees into a complex star shape
