A few years ago I was showing a friend how to make a handmade book. While my friend was sewing her signatures together, I started to glue some chocolate wrappers that I had saved (for many years, not knowing what to do with them) onto book board, making the book look like an actual chocolate bar. Instead of making pages, I collaged the interior. I liked the result so much, that I made more and more, and then friends kept giving and sending me their more exotic (i.e. foreign) chocolate bar wrappers. These books are completely about fun, some are about stories, some are about using interesting paper ephemera. |
