Just as you were about to unlock your door you dropped your key and it shattered into one million seemingly identical keys by Emiland Kray

My memories fade into dreams, and when dreaming I often fade into reverie. Dreams combine the mundane with the fantastic, and in my case, combine my childhood with magical scenarios. My childhood home visits my dreams and becomes nightmarish. When my parents lost our home in 2007, the house seemed to haunt them and they sought out a house built with the same floorplan for us to move into. My memories of both these homes, the original and the replica, cause me to second guess my memories. In my dreams, the house transforms back and forth resisting the stability of what a home is supposed to provide. "Just as you were about to unlock your door you dropped your key and it shattered into one million seemingly identical keys" uses repetition with original watercolor paintings, cyanotype prints, and reflections to create a never-ending loop where the dreamer is unable to enter the front door of their home.
